The Office of the General Counsel advises on a wide range of matters and issues relating to the University’s legal relationships with related organizations, including wholly-owned organizations, partnerships, supporting organizations and organizations with which the University has collaborative relationships. Frequent issues include governance, tax and corporate law.

Attorneys also offer advice and counsel on a wide range of matters and issues relating to the Alumni Association, affiliated alumni organizations, the University’s group exemption, charitable giving, and Reunions. On these matters, attorneys work closely with the Office of Alumni Affairs.
