The Office of the General Counsel provides advice on tax matters, including working closely with the Tax Department in Finance & Treasury and advising on a wide range of issues relating to federal tax-exempt status, non-profit corporation law, unrelated business income, endowment investment, tax-exempt bonds, political activity, compensation, group exemption, tax issues pertinent to international initiatives, and property tax issues.
