Biography

Wes joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2015 after two years at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in New York, where he represented clients in litigation, with an emphasis on intellectual property disputes and commercial cases.  After earning his J.D. magna cum laude from NYU School of Law in 2011, Wes clerked for the Honorable Legrome Davis (’73) in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Honorable Pauline Newman at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  Law is a second career for Wes, who received a B.E. in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, summa cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 2000.
